VTest for Schools is appropriate for institutions who are interested in assessing students from ages 7-15. VTest for Schools 7-10 covers CEFR levels Pre-A1–B1, and VTest for Schools 11-15 covers CEFR levels PreA1–B2.
It is a great tool for placement, progress-monitoring, certification, and leveling.
Each VTest has a unique structure, appropriate for the age of candidates and levels assessed. All tests can be taken as independent modules, or a combination of all four skills (Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing). VTest for Schools can be used for multiple purposes, including but not limited to: a placement tool to determine where your students’ capabilities lie across all four skills; a progress-monitoring tool during the school year; an exit or graduation assessment towards the end of the school year.
Each student receives an official certificate as well as a detailed score report with a breakdown of each of the skills assessed, according to the CEFR. Reports also include Can do statements and areas of improvement.
VTest provides institutions with elaborate group reports that analyze and interpret results across different factors. VTest also provides easy-to-use Excel files with each test-taker’s results.
VTest offers full flexibility when it comes to administration. Tests can be taken at any time – during class or at a designated test center.

The goal of VTest is to motivate all learners by providing reliable feedback on their English skills. Therefore, specific test preparation is not necessary. To familiarize learners with the format, VTest has produced free online materials and resources. These materials and resources are available through our website.

The test is a multi-stage adaptive test designed to measure proficiency levels from beginner through advanced levels (A1–C2). The test progresses through increasingly more difficult stages and ends when candidates have reached their maximum level of ability.
